What makes me happy...

It is always good to have something that makes you smile.
Right now, I get really excited about the following:

My friend Leigh Ann, the insanely creative mastermind behind Sweet Auburn Studio, was featured on The Pioneer Woman! I am so excited for her, I can hardly stand it. However, I have come to terms with the fact that Ree's blog will bring Leigh Ann much more business than mine ever will. Since Ree's blog post this past Friday, Leigh Ann has sold over 190 pieces. (Yes Leigh Ann, I am counting...)

The Pink Girls have a new home for the next six months!

Oh my goodness, how have I never heard of Hidden valley's
Fiesta Ranch dip until now? If you have not tried this before, go to the store
and buy it tonight. Did I also mention that I have
been eating a large amount of vegetables since this discovery? Just ignore the large
amounts of sour cream that I have consumed with them...
I have been a Counting Crows fan for a VERY long time, and no matter what new artist comes along that I might become obsessed with, Counting Crows will forever remain my favorite band of all time. I am SO excited about their new album which was recently released.

Margorona - So delicious and so refreshing!

WARNING: This video will make you laugh out loud!

Just another day at the nursing home...

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to drive to
Aurora, MO to spend some time with my grandmother.

Every time I have the opportunity to see my grandmother, I am reminded of
where my wit and sense of humor came from - She was the person who
taught me what it meant to be a "Smart Ass."

Favorite Conversation of the week:
Grandma - "How did you sleep last night?
Me - "Good."
Grandma - "Where you all alone at the house?
Me - "Yes."
Grandma - "You mean there was not a man in your bed?"
Me - "Unfortunately, no."
Grandma - "Thats too bad..."

Juanita kept learning on Grandma as she fell asleep,
which would prompt grandma to blow on her...

We also played a little BINGO, and won!

It would not be a trip to the nursing home without a visit from my
Missouri boyfriend, Chester. I think he has a radar tracker on me - every
time I walk through the door he is waiting for me with puckered lips.

I also picked some flowers from Grandma's yard and was able to take some
to the Nursing Home, and some to Ray's grave site.

I also cannot mention my trip to Missouri without a significant milestone for the Turn.
Yes, your eyes are right, she turned 90,000 on Sunday, April 8, 2012.

Weekend Review in Pictures

Before I headed to Birmingham, I had to go to class.

Unfortunately, I was unable to run in the Rumpshaker,
but I arrived just in time for the after party.

Sunday funday with Anna.

This is how they chill their beer in Alabama.

I love Avondale Brewery!

I felt like I was home - Two Tennessee Tuxedos in one place!

This is just for you mom.

The perfect ending to a wonderful day.

Thank goodness Proud Mary does not include any profanity!
