Just another day at the nursing home...

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to drive to
Aurora, MO to spend some time with my grandmother.

Every time I have the opportunity to see my grandmother, I am reminded of
where my wit and sense of humor came from - She was the person who
taught me what it meant to be a "Smart Ass."

Favorite Conversation of the week:
Grandma - "How did you sleep last night?
Me - "Good."
Grandma - "Where you all alone at the house?
Me - "Yes."
Grandma - "You mean there was not a man in your bed?"
Me - "Unfortunately, no."
Grandma - "Thats too bad..."

Juanita kept learning on Grandma as she fell asleep,
which would prompt grandma to blow on her...

We also played a little BINGO, and won!

It would not be a trip to the nursing home without a visit from my
Missouri boyfriend, Chester. I think he has a radar tracker on me - every
time I walk through the door he is waiting for me with puckered lips.

I also picked some flowers from Grandma's yard and was able to take some
to the Nursing Home, and some to Ray's grave site.

I also cannot mention my trip to Missouri without a significant milestone for the Turn.
Yes, your eyes are right, she turned 90,000 on Sunday, April 8, 2012.

  1. Is it awful of me to say that Chester seems a little creepy? :)
